Speakers
Professor of Music at the University of Jyväskylä.
Leader of the Finnish Centre of Excellence in Interdisciplinary Music Research.
Research interests include music cognition, music information retrieval, and music motorics.
Co-author of several widely used software tools for music analysis, including the MIDI Toolbox, the MIR Toolbox, and the Motion Capture Toolbox.
Researcher and lecturer at University of Jyväskylä.
Research interests include music and emotion, especially mood regulation and emotional development, personality psychology, and well-being.
Developed a theoretical model and a measurement scale for assessing the use of music for mood regulation in her thesis.
Currently leads the following research projects:
"Music-related emotional competence and adolescent mental health" (Academy of Finland, 2010-2016) and
"Affect from Art" (Kone foundation, 2015-).
Post-doctoral researcher at University of Jyväskylä
Research interests include Cognitive Neuroscience, fMRI studies, Music Information Retrieval, Cross-cultural studies and Digital Signal Processing.
